Purpose: Oversees overall administrative and clinical operations of IRCA Kurali.

Responsibilities:

  •   Work environment improvement

Ethics & Discipline

Standards & Compliance

Purpose: Maintain discipline and ethical standards across the institution.

Responsibilities:
  •   Review and resolve misconduct cases
  •   Enforce the code of conduct
  •   Ensure compliance with all policies
  •   Substance-free workplace enforcement

Safety & Health

Patient & Staff Safety

Purpose: Ensure the physical safety and health of all patients and staff.

Responsibilities:
  •   Fire safety measures & drills
  •   Regular hygiene monitoring
  •   Emergency preparedness protocols
  •   Occupational health standards

Internal Complaints Committee

POSH / ICC

Purpose: Prevent and redress sexual harassment complaints as per the POSH Act, 2013.

Composition:
  •   Presiding Officer: Senior Female Staff (Clinical Psychologist)
  •   Member 1: Administrative Officer
  •   Member 2: Counsellor / Social Worker
  •   External Member: NGO Representative / Legal Expert

Patient Welfare

Patient Rights & Care

Purpose: Protect and uphold the rights and dignity of all patients at IRCA.

Members:
  •   Chairperson: Medical Officer
  •   Counsellor
  •   Social Worker
  •   Ward In-charge
  •   External Community Representative

Child Protection Policy

Ensures the complete safety and protection of all minors and vulnerable individuals admitted to or visiting the IRCA facility. Zero tolerance for any exploitation, neglect, or abuse.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Policy

Aligned with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

Definition

Sexual harassment includes any of the following when unwelcome:

  •   Physical contact or advances
  •   Demand or request for sexual favours
  •   Sexually coloured remarks
  •   Displaying pornographic material
  •   Any other unwelcome verbal or physical conduct
Complaint Procedure

Written complaint to be filed within 3 months of the incident.

ICC inquiry completed within 90 days with strict confidentiality.

Action taken: written apology, warning, suspension, or termination.

No retaliation against complainant — full protection guaranteed.

Patient Rights & Responsibilities

Patient Rights

  • Right to Dignity & Respect

    Every patient has the right to be treated with respect, compassion, and without discrimination.

  • Right to Confidentiality

    Medical records and personal information are strictly confidential and protected.

  • Right to Informed Treatment

    Patients have the right to know their diagnosis, treatment plan, and potential outcomes.

  • Right to Safe Environment

    All patients are entitled to a clean, safe, and supportive rehabilitation environment.

  • Right to Grievance Redressal

    Patients can raise complaints through the Patient Welfare Committee without fear of consequence.

Patient Responsibilities

  • Follow Treatment Plans

    Actively participate in prescribed medical and therapeutic activities.

  • Respect Staff & Fellow Patients

    Maintain a respectful and cooperative attitude within the facility.

  • Maintain Discipline

    Follow the rules and schedules of the institution for effective rehabilitation.

  • Avoid Prohibited Substances

    Strictly refrain from any use of drugs or alcohol within or near the facility.

  • Participate in Therapy Sessions

    Engage actively in counselling, group therapy, and skill-building programs.

Grievance Redressal & Transparency

Staff Grievance System

Staff can report workplace issues, professional concerns, and employment-related matters to the Management Committee directly.

Patient & Family Grievances

Patients and families can report treatment concerns, staff behaviour issues, or facility-related problems to the Patient Welfare Committee.

Transparency Commitment

We publicly display institutional policies, annual reports, program guidelines, and ethical standards to build trust with donors, CSR partners, and government agencies.
